About the Vincent R. Gagliardi Foundation

Our Mission:

The mission of the VRG Foundation is to educate and bring awareness to teen driver safety. Through awareness and community involvement, we want to eliminate teen driver deaths and create Vincent’s legacy through a annual college scholarship.

Vincent’s Story

Vincent lost his life on October 8th, 2021.   It was a Friday.  He was a front seat passenger in a car that was driving recklessly while he was not wearing his seat belt.  Vincent and three of his friends were driving around town waiting for another friend to arrive home.    They decided to drive at a high rate of speed on a residential road with a posted speed limit of 25 mph.  This road had a ‘hump’ on it and they thought it would be ‘fun’ to take it fast.     The driver lost control of the car.  The car slid into a telephone pole, traveled to the other side of the road hitting an embankment, spinning around, crossing the road again to hit the other side of the road.   Vincent was ejected through the rear window and landed many feet away into some trees.    His friends could not find him for a while.  Young drivers think they are invincible, that nothing will happen to them.   They don’t realize the dangers in the world.  Vincent was only 17 years old, a senior in high school.  We miss him terribly.  You can’t replace someone so precious in your life.   The lives he touched will never be the same.  May he live on as a voice in your head, compassion in your heart and a smile on your face.
